The Artist

14 years ago I set out on a journey to find my life's passion. I explored many creative outlets, but it wasn't until I took a metal arts workshop that the sparks began to fly.  That day my love affair began.  My heart now belongs to metal sculpture.  The rawness and strength of this medium excites me.  It induces respect and fills me with awe.  While the rigidity challenges me to push beyond my comfort zone, the flexibility amazes me.  There is always something new to learn and create.  The diversity of the different metals, patinas and finishes is an on going learning experience.  I use my works to express to the world who I am.  If you want to know me, look at my art  -  I am subtly hidden within each piece I create.  You have to search but I am there.

Even though I am a certified welder, have extensive metal work training and attended many ceramic, painting and sculpting art classes, I consider myself a self-taught artist.
